2009/MAR/30 CREATING IDEA NOMADS

WELCOME BACKSTAGE

By popular demand: behind the scenes of the IDEA NOMADS. We get many questions about how we came up with the idea of the IDEA NOMADS and how we prepared for our world tour. Let's just put it like this: it's been a long journey, before even starting traveling... it started off small and has grown like a snowball. How to introduce ourselves? How do we create something to talk about with people we meet on the way? How to spread the word? First the idea of a webpage and name cards, then give-aways, stickers, rings, a stamp... the more we worked on it, the more we wanted to do. So here it is, the full 'creating IDEA NOMADS' recipe.

DIRECTIONS

Start one year in advance. Think small, then think big. Have a nice design office and brainstorming wall at your disposal. Spend nights working on it. Spend weekends working on it. Spread the word. Get input from everyone. Select who to listen to. Only meet up with your friends when you want their help. But try to keep your friends, you will need them. Keep smiling. Keep it up. Go travel.
